Dr. Frank Hezemans
Bio
Frank is a cognitive neuroscientist studying the computational and neuropharmacological determinants of motivational and cognitive control. After studying psychology at Leiden University, he obtained his PhD at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, University of Cambridge, where he examined the noradrenergic basis of apathy and impulsivity in both health and neurological conditions. Following postdoctoral appointments at the Donders Institute and the University of Tübingen, he is now based at Osnabrück University’s Institute of Cognitive Science. His current research focuses on computational modelling of adjustments of cognitive control, especially inhibitory control, in the context of speeded decision-making.
